'''Sun of Monaco''' is a song competition organised by [[:en:TMC (TV channel)|TMC]] (Monegasque public broadcasters) every six months. It determines the country's representative for the [[WorldVision Song Contest]], and has been running since summer 2022. 

== <strong>Origins</strong> ==
The first "Sun of Monaco" was held on 12 June 2022 at TBA in Monte-Carlo (Monaco); five songs participated. Five "expert" jury chose the winner. The competition was won by [[:en:Purple Disco Machine|Purple Disco Machine]] and [[:en:Sophie and the Giants|Sophie & the Giants]] performing "In The Dark".

== <strong>Participation</strong> ==
To be eligible, performers must be at least sixteen years of age on the day of the first Worldvision Semi-Final. There were no restrictions on the Monegasque affiliation of the performers, as well as language restrictions. The number of participants for the season is also not reported.

== <strong>Hosting</strong> ==
The first season was decided to be held in [[:en:Monte Carlo|Monte Carlo]].

== <strong>Format</strong> ==
At the moment, it is not known in what final format the competition will take place. The first season took place in the format of one round (final) with the participation of five songs and the voting of the jury without the public voting.
