The contest was held at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, and was consisted a final on 27 October 2024.
Eighteen countruies participated in the competition, with Italy returning to the competition. Japan, Poland and Vietnam withdrawal from the competition.
The winner was the Israel with the song "Monaco", performed by Jude York. Denmark, Norway, Hungary and Albania rounded out the top five, all of whom improved their results in the competition. The following countries improved their results: San Marino, Italy and Lebanon. Is was the third time when Thailand finished on the last place.
Location
After the previous edition has been won by Australia, the broadcaster was immediately approached to form the reference group for the contest organisation. The Executive Supervisor and the head of IECO joined to the discussion of the potential city selection to host the show.
The Q3-2024 The selected venue is the 13.600-seat Brisbane Entertainment Centre is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the Brisbane suburb of Boondall, Queensland, Australia.
City bidding process
A few hours after the results of Special Melody Q3-24, the winner of the last episode of the competition and reference group decided to entrust the hosting of the competition to the city of Brisbane as applicable venue and infrastructure to host the fifth edition of the contest.
Format
Rules of season
This season was dedicated to compositions that had less than 100 thousand views on the YouTube portal, released between 2010 and 2024. At the same time, the video of the composition had to be on the official account of the artist on the YouTube platform.
The restrictions still did not allow the nomination of a performer who had participated in Eurovision.
Participating Countries
Eighteen countries have confirmed their participation in the season of the competition. Italy returning to the competition. Japan, Poland and Vietnam is left from the competition.
