Ireland has participated in the Worldvision Song Contest 5 times since making its debut in Q1-2024. The country was supposed to debut at the Q1-2024 competition. The contest is broadcast in Finland by RTÉ.

Its best results were achieved by Robin Schulz, Topic & Oaks in Q2-2024, who finished in 5th place. During the entire period of participation, the country was included in the top-5 strongest finals 1 time. The Q1-2024 season marks the first time the country has failed to qualify for the final. Ireland has failed to qualify for the final 1 time so far. In contrast, Irish worst result was in the semi-final is the last place to have been achieved once: in Q1-2024 when Johan Papaconstantino received 22 points for their entry "Tata".
