Open Nippon Q1-2023 will be the 2nd edition of the Japanese music competition and will be held between TBD and 4 January 2023 in Okinawa (arena will be announced later). The winner of the contest will be eligible to represent Japan at Worldvision Song Contest Q1-2023.
Format
Open Nippon Q1-2023, organised by Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK World), was held in the format of one final with the participation of six invited compositions released no earlier than 1 October 2021.
Voting
Announcement of performers
The introduction of participating performers took place from 28 to 30 December 2022 in order of performance.
Final
Voting will take from 2 to 3 January 2023.
