Monaco participated in the Worldvision Song Contest Summer 2022 in Barcelona, Spain with the song "In The Dark" performed by German disco and house music producer and DJ Purple Disco Machine and English music group Sophie and the Giants. The Monegasque broadcaster TMC organised the national final Sun of Monaco Summer 2022 in order to select the Monegasque entry for the Summer 2022 contest. Five entries competed in the national final, and the winner was announced on 12 June 2022 following of votes from a five members of international jury.
Sun of Monaco: Summer 2022 was the 1st edition of the Monegasque music competition and took place in 12 June 2022 in Monte Carlo (Grimaldi Forum). The winner of the contest will be eligible to represent Monaco at Worldvision Song Contest Summer 2022.
Format
Sun of Monaco Summer 2022, organised by Télé Monte-Carlo (TMC), was held in the format of one final with the participation of five invited compositions released no earlier than 1 January 2021.

Each member of the jury had a set of points according to the system: 3, 2 and 1 points. The winner was determined by the composition that scored the most points. Monaco's selection was one of two (along with Australia) for the Summer 2022 season where the names of the jury members were not revealed.
Final
Voting took place on 12 June 2022. Purple Disco Machine Feat. Sophie and the Giants with song "In The Dark" won the selection.
