Netherlands participated in the Worldvision Song Contest Q3-2023 in Cologne, Germany with the song "Verleden Tijd" performed by Flemming. The Dutch broadcaster NHK organised the national final for Q3-2023 contest in order to select the Dutch entry for the Q3-2023 contest. Four entries competed in the national final, and the winner was announced on 3 September 2023 following the public and jury vote.
Nationaal Songfestival van Nederland Q3-2023 was the 2nd edition and took place on 3 September 2023. The winner of the contest will be eligible to represent Netherlands at Worldvision Song Contest Q3-2023.
Format
Nationaal Songfestival van Nederland Q3-2023 was held in the format of one final with the participation of four invited compositions released no earlier than 1 January 2021.
Voting
Each jury member and TV viewer had to submit their scores using a 12, 10, 8 and 5 point system. All scores of the jury and TV viewer members were summed up and the winner was determined based on the highest amount of points scored.
