[[Japan]] participated in the [[Worldvision Q3-2023|Worldvision Song Contest]] Q3-2023 in Cologne, [[Germany]] with the song "One Vision" performed by Beverly. The Japanese broadcaster [[:en:NHK|NHK]] organised the national final for Q3-2023 contest in order to select the Japanese entry for the Q3-2023 contest. Four entries competed in the national final, and the winner was announced on 3 September 2023 following the public vote.

Open Nippon Q3-2023 was held in the format of one final with the participation of four invited compositions released no earlier than 1 January 2021.
===Voting===
Any interested participant in the forthcoming contest (29 eligible voters, including the representative of Japan) had the right to vote. Each voter had to give 1 point to the most liked composition and simultaneously remove 1 point from the most disliked composition. At the time of voting, each composition had 10 points on its balance sheet. As a result, nine voters exercised their right to vote.
