The Dutch participated in the Worldvision Song Contest 2022 in Barcelona, Spain with the song "Goud" performed by Dutch duo Suzan & Freek. The Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS organised the national final Nationaal Songfestival van Nederland 2022 in order to select the Dutch entry for the 2022 contest. three entries competed in the national final, and the winner was announced on 7 June 2022 following the combination of votes from a five-member international jury panel and international public vote.

Format
Nationaal Songfestival van Nederland Summer 2022, organised by AVROTROS, was held in the format of one final with the participation of three invited compositions released no earlier than 1 January 2021.
Voting
The votes of the jury members and the public was equal parts of the total selection result. Each of the five members of the jury had a set of points: 12, 8 and 5 points. This year curators from Australia, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, South Korea and Spain were invited to take the place of the jury. Subsequently, the place of the Korean jury member was replaced by Japan.

Voting took place from 2 to 5 June 2022. Suzan & Freek with song "Goud" won the selection.
