| The first "Australia Decides" took place on 21 May 2022 at TBA in [[:en:Gold Coast, Queensland|Gold Coast]]; seven songs participated. Eight "expert" juries from states and territorias of Australia decided the winner. The competition was won by [[:en:Meg Mac|Meg Mac]] performing "Is It Worth Being Sad".

| To be eligible, performers must be at least sixteen years of age on the day of the first Worldvision semi-final. There were no restrictions on the Australian affiliation of the performers, as well as language restrictions. The number of participants for the season has also not been announced.
