Open Nippon Q1-2023 will be the 2nd edition of the Japanese music competition and will be held between TBD and 4 January 2023 in Okinawa (arena will be announced later). The winner of the contest will be eligible to represent Japan at Worldvision Song Contest Q1-2023.

Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium

Open Nippon Q1-2023, organised by Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK World), was held in the format of one final with the participation of six invited compositions released no earlier than 1 October 2021.
