Sweden has participated in the Worldvision Song Contest 9 times since making its debut in Q4-2022. The contest is broadcast in Sweden by SVT, which also broadcasts Swedish national selection competition.

Its best results were achieved by Empress Of in Q4-2022 and Bishop Briggs in Q1-2024, who finished in third place. During the entire period of participation, the country was included in the top-5 strongest finals 2 times. The Q4-2024 season marks the first time the country has failed to qualify for the final. Sweden has failed to qualify for the final once so far. In contrast, Swedish worst result in the grand final is the last place to have been achieved once: in Q3-2023 when MIN t received 54 points for their entry "Tiger".
