Temporarily banned countries

Countries on the black list will not be able to take part in competitions under the auspices of IECO until they are removed from this list. Certain countries, according to the decision of the organizers of the competition, are included in the list for various reasons: recognized by the international community as sponsors of terrorism, having illegitimate and / or unrecognized governments for the international community, all kinds of violations of human rights and freedoms, and so on.

At the moment, 12 countries out of 193 UN members are on the black list:

1 Afghanistan The Taliban regime has not been recognized by the international community as legal and legitimate in Afghanistan since the armed coming to power at the end of 2021. Violation of human rights and freedoms.
2 Belarus After the 2020 elections, Alexander Lukashenko was recognized as illegitimate by the vast majority of the international community. The Lukashenka regime provided the territory of Belarus for a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine.
3 Central African Republic
4 Cuba The country is on the US list of sponsors of terrorism.
5 Eritrea
6 Iran The country is on the US list of sponsors of terrorism.
7 North Korea The country is on the US list of sponsors of terrorism.
8 Myanmar
9 Russia After the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the European Parliament and a number of parliaments of European countries recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
10 Syria The country is on the US list of sponsors of terrorism.
11 Turkmenistan
12 Venezuela
13 Yemen
