The Dutch participated in the Worldvision Song Contest 2022 in Barcelona, Spain with the song "Goud" performed by Dutch duo Suzan & Freek. The Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS organised the national final Nationaal Songfestival van Nederland 2022 in order to select the Dutch entry for the 2022 contest. three entries competed in the national final, and the winner was announced on 7 June 2022 following the combination of votes from a five-member international jury panel and international public vote.

Nationaal Songfestival van Nederland: Summer 2022 was the 1st edition of the and took place on 7 June 2022.

Format

Nationaal Songfestival van Nederland Summer 2022, organised by AVROTROS, was held in the format of one final with the participation of three invited compositions released no earlier than 1 January 2021.
