The Worldvision Second Chance Q3-2024 - was the 8th edition of the Worldvision Second Chance that has been ever made. The contest took place on 6 January 2025.
Eleven countries held their open national selections and one country organized consultations to select an application from their shortlist for participation in Worldvision Q3-2024. North Macedonia and Norway joined to the contest first time, and Australia, Israel, Portugal, and South Korea. Italy withdrew from the contest.
The winner was the Australia with the song "Outside Of Love", performed by Becky Hill. Hungary, South Korea, United Kingdom and North Macedonia rounded out the top five.
Location
The competition was held in an online version and did not assume a host country.
Format
On December 2, 2024, it became known that eleven countries were able to fully conduct their selections for Worldvision Q3-2024. According to the rules of the competition, all these countries qualify for the second chance competition. The competition was held in the format of one final.
Changes to the voting system
Unlike the previous season, which featured 6 countries, this season the competition returned to the usual points system: 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 point.
Entries
Admission to countries was granted based on the presence of a national selection or their shortlisting or decision to change the song.
Allocation Draw
As same as during the last episodes, the allocation draw was determined by a complete random. No exceptions are made to the previous winner or to the hosting nation. It was announced on December 20, 2024 as a full list.
