The <strong>Worldvision Song Contest Summer 2022</strong> - is set to be the 1st edition of the [[Worldvision Song Contest]] that has been ever made. It is set to take place in [[:en:Barcelona|Barcelona]], [[Spain]]. Organised by the [[Main Page|International Eurofan's Countries Organisation]] (IECO) and host broadcaster [[:en:Televisión Española|Televisión Española]] (TVE), the contest will be held at the [[:en:Palau Sant Jordi|Palau Sant Jordi Arena]], and will consist of a final on 23 July 2022.

This will be the first time that Spain hosts the contest. Twenty eight countries will take part in the contest (twenty european countries and eight from rest of the world), but only eighteen of them will pass through the screening stage by rating-odds.

The summer'22 contest will take place in [[:en:Barcelona|Barcelona]], [[Spain]]. It will be the first time that Spain hosts the contest. The selected venue is the 18.000-seat Palau Sant Jordi Arena, is an indoor sporting arena and multi-purpose indoor arena.

The competition will be held in one sub-stage of qualification (stage of rating bets) and final, in which eighteen countries will take part. [[Spain]], as the host country of the season, was automatically eligible to participate in the final. On 18 May 2022, it became known that the organizers of the contest decided to give [[Australia]] and [[Japan]] (hereinafter referred to as the "founding countries") the right to permanent automatic participation in the final of the contest for their great contribution to the development and holding of the contest. The remaining 15 locations will be named on 20 June 2022.

For the Summer 2022 season, songs released on the YouTube platform no earlier than 1 January 2021 are eligible. Quotas, which could be requested by the participating countries in order to be able to exhibit a composition in a language other than the main language of the country, will not be distributed in the debut season.

The voting in the final will consist of the sum of the votes of the facilitators of the eighteen participating countries (jury) and the remaining eighteen facilitators (whose countries did not qualify for the final part of the season) and IECO observers. Each voter will have a set of 10 "euro-system" scores: 12, 10, 8, 7-1 points.

The draw to determine the participating countries' final will place on 26 Juny 2022. 18 countries will be divided into two parts of 9 countries by random selection. On June 3, it became known that Spain will perform under the 13th serial number, while Australia and Japan will perform in the first part of the final.

 

The order of performance of the finalists will be known on 1 July 2022. The order will be determined by the organizers of the competition.

As of 1 May 2022, twenty nine countries have confirmed their intention to participate in the Summer 2022 edition, but only sixteen will promotion to the grand final. On 18 May 2022, the organizers of the competition decided to automatically admit Australia and Japan to the final. These countries were recognized as the founding countries of the competition. It was also announced that the final will be increased from 16 to 18 participating countries. On 8 June 2022, it was announced that [[Germany]] would not enter the contest without giving a reason. A little later on 11 July 2022, it became known that [[South Korea]] did not contact the organizers of the contest, which led to the country's automatic withdrawal from participation. As a result, the number of participating countries was reduced to twenty-eight.

The final will take place on XX-XX November 2022. Thirteen countries will participate in the final, which were announced on 22 November 2022.

On June 2, 2022, after the morning update of the competition rates, it turned out that the competition composition from [[Ukraine]] moved to the first line of the rating, which displeased a number of participating curators from [[Canada]], [[Kazakhstan]], [[Hungary]], [[Greece]], [[China]], [[North Macedonia]]. The fact is that in a separate survey of each announced application, the participants noticed the fact that Ukraine's application was rated worse than the others and it is very illogical to observe the country in first place in the rates. The curator of [[Japan]] confirmed that back in May 2022, he requested a scheme and formula for calculating the rating for each participating country, but no answer was received, which led to big questions. The curator of China called the finding of Ukraine in the first place as a "show of compassion", and the curator of Hungary threatened to withdraw the country from participating in the competition if no explanations were received from the organizers of the competition. In the evening, a table was announced with data analysis based on the results of each poll of announced applications, and it turned out that, according to data reconciliation, Ukraine's application was located on the penultimate of 13 announced compositions. It is noteworthy that China, which was placed in 7th place in the rating rates, turned out to be the absolute favorite in the poll. On the evening of June 2, 2022, the curator of Australia reported that the data from the poll of the Ukrainian application was not taken into account for the calculation of rating rates, which re-introduced the dissatisfaction of the curators of Canada, China and Hungary. The curators of Japan, Kazakhstan and the [[The Netherlands|Netherlands]] expressed mild dissatisfaction about this.
