San Marino has participated in the Worldvision Song Contest 8 times since making its debut in Q4-2022. The contest is broadcast in San Marino by SMRTV.

Annalisa, winner of the Q1-2023 contest and placed on 4th place in the Q2-2023 contest for the San Marino.

Its best results were achieved by Annalisa in Q4-2022, who finished in first place. During the entire period of participation, the country was included in the top-5 strongest finals 2 times. San Marino is one of the few countries that has qualified for all finals of the competition during its participation.

The Italian singer Annalisa is the only performer to represent the country twice. Also among the Italian performers representing the country was Irama. The remaining country representatives were from the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Germany and Indonesia.

After winning the Q1-2023 season competition, due to the impossibility of holding the competition in the country (due to the lack of suitable infrastructure), the competition was moved to Australia under a joint organization of San Marino and Australia.
