Bella Amor Festival is a song competition organised by Spanish Television (TVE) every six months. It determines the country's representative for the WorldVision Song Contest, and has been running since summer 2022.
Origins
The first "Bella Amor Festival" was held on 13 June 2022 at TBA in Benidorm; twenty songs participated. Ten "expert" juries from ather countries and the puplic had the same voting proportion and decided the winner. The competition was won by Maia Reficco performing "De Ti".
Participation
To be eligible, performers must be at least sixteen years of age on the day of the first Worldvision semi-final. There were no restrictions on the Spanish affiliation of the performers, as well as language restrictions, at least in the first edition all compositions were performed in English. The number of participants for the season is also not reported.
Hosting
The first season was decided to be held in Benidorm.
