Germany participated in the Worldvision Song Contest Q3-2023 in Cologne, Germany with the song "Hold The Girl" performed by Rina Sawayama. The German broadcaster NDR organised the national final for Q3-2023 contest in order to select the German entry for the Q3-2023 contest. Eight entries competed in the national final, and the winner was announced on 3 September 2023 following the jury vote.

Deutsches Lied Q3-2023 was the 2nd edition and took place on 3 September 2023. The winner of the contest will be eligible to represent Germany at Worldvision Song Contest Q3-2023.

Format

Deutsches Lied Q3-2023 was held in the format of two semi-finals and one final with the participation of eight invited compositions released no earlier than 1 January 2021.

Voting

Each of the voting members of the jury gave marks of 10, 8, 6 and 4 points from the most liked to the most disliked song.
