Format
Australia Decides Q4-2022 was held in the format of one final with the participation of seven invited compositions released no earlier than 1 January 2021.
Voting
Each voting state and territory could rate five compositions on a scale of 5 to 1. The winner was determined by the composition that scored the most points.
After the announcement of the voting results, it turned out that three compositions ("Go To Hell", "Devil Lips" and "Is It Worth Being Sad") scored a total of 23 points. According to the selection rules, an additional stage of determining the winner was involved: first, by the number of points received from each voting state and territory, and in the event of a tie, by the quality of the marks starting from 5 points.

On 25 May 2022, an album was announced with participating compositions in the selection called "AUS DECIDES 2022".
