Sweden has participated in the Worldvision Song Contest 8 times since making its debut in Q4-2022. The contest is broadcast in Sweden by SVT, which also broadcasts Swedish national selection competition.

Its best results were achieved by Empress Of in Q4-2022 and Bishop Briggs in Q1-2024, who finished in third place. During the entire period of participation, the country was included in the top-5 strongest finals 2 times. Sweden is one of the few countries that has qualified for all finals of the competition during its participation. In contrast, Swedish worst result in the grand final is the last place to have been achieved once: in Q3-2023 when MIN t received 54 points for their entry "Tiger".
The country is represented mainly by English performers. So far, all of Sweden's entries have been in English.
