Worldvision Summer 2022

The Worldvision Song Contest Summer 2022 - is set to be the 1st edition of the WorldVision Song Contest that has been ever made. It is set to take place in Barcelona, Spain. Organised by the International Eurofan's Countries Organisation (IECO) and host broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE), the contest will be held at the Palau Sant Jordi Arena, and will consist of a final on 23 July 2022.

This will be the first time that Spain hosts the contest. Twenty nine countries will take part in the contest (twenty one european countries and eight from rest of the world), but only sixteen of them will pass through the screening stage by rating-odds.

Location

The summer'22 contest will take place in Barcelona, Spain. It will be the first time that Spain hosts the contest. The selected venue is the 18.000-seat Palau Sant Jordi Arena, is an indoor sporting arena and multi-purpose indoor arena.

Bidding took place using two rounds of voting. After the first round, the bid from the United States left the bidding race. In the second round of voting, Spain's bid won the majority of the votes, which eliminated the need for a third round of voting.

For the Summer 2022 season, songs released on the YouTube platform no earlier than 1 July 2021 are eligible. Quotas, which could be requested by the participating countries in order to be able to exhibit a composition in a language other than the main language of the country, will not be distributed in the debut season.

Allocation draw

The draw to determine the participating countries' final will place on 26 Juny 2022. 16 countries will be divided into two parts of 8 countries by random selection.

The order of performance of the finalists will be known on 1 July 2022. The order will be determined by the organizers of the competition.

Final

The final will take place on 23 July 2022. Sixteen countries will participate in the final, which will be announced on 25 June 2022.
